Treasurer (Volunteer Position)

We are in search of a meticulous and reliable Treasurer to oversee the financial aspects of our TEDx events. As the Treasurer, you will play a crucial role in managing budgets, financial planning, and ensuring the financial sustainability of our events.


  • Manage event budgets and ensure accuracy and adherence to financial constraints.
  • Track income and expenses related to ticket sales, sponsorships, and other revenue streams.
  • Collaborate with the Financial Manager to identify potential funding opportunities and sponsor packages.
  • Join bi-weekly team meetings to discuss financial updates, challenges, and strategies.
  • Provide financial reports and updates to the organizing team and stakeholders regularly.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Provide training opportunities for team members to enhance their financial management skills.


  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably in event planning or non-profit organizations.
  • Strong knowledge of budgeting and financial planning.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent mathematical skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work with complex financial data.
  • Effective communication and team leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Commitment to attending bi-weekly team meetings (80% presence).

Note: The Treasurer position is voluntary and offers a great opportunity to contribute to the financial success and growth of our TEDx events. We provide training in financial management, and team members are encouraged to participate in regular team drinks and team-building activities to foster a collaborative and enjoyable environment.
