Production Manager (Volunteer Position)

We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Production Manager to lead our Production Team in overseeing the technical and logistical aspects of our TEDx events. As the Production Manager, you will play a critical role in creating seamless and immersive event experiences for our attendees.


  • Find locations, ticket registration tools, video productions for our events.
  • Coordinate with vendors to secure audiovisual equipment, staging, lighting, and other technical necessities for events.
  • Oversee event setup and testing of technical equipment before the events.
  • Lead bi-weekly team meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and event planning.
  • Ensure 80% team meeting attendance and facilitate effective communication within the team.
  • Organize and participate in team-building activities, regular team drinks, and networking events.
  • Collaborate with the Program Team to understand the technical needs for each presentation.
  • Troubleshoot any technical issues that arise during rehearsals and the event day.
  • Provide training opportunities for team members to enhance their technical skills.


  • Proven experience in event production or technical management is preferred but not required.
  • Strong knowledge of audiovisual equipment and event staging.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic event requirements.
  • Effective communication and team leadership abilities.
  • Proficiency in English (both written and spoken).
  • Commitment to attending bi-weekly team meetings (80% presence).
