PR Manager – Volunteer Position

TEDxEindhoven is seeking a dedicated and experienced PR Manager to join our team. This is a volunteering opportunity to contribute to the promotion and public relations efforts of TEDxEindhoven. The ideal candidate should have connections with Eindhoven media or previous experience in building connections and managing PR for non-profit events. This position offers a valuable opportunity to make a meaningful impact and gain hands-on experience in public relations within the TEDx community.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement comprehensive PR strategies to enhance the visibility and reach of TEDxEindhoven.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with local Eindhoven media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure media coverage and press releases for TEDxEindhoven events.
• Collaborate closely with the TEDxEindhoven team to gather relevant information, stories, and updates for media pitches and press releases.
• Write compelling and engaging press releases, media advisories, and other PR materials to effectively communicate TEDxEindhoven’s mission, values, and event details.
• Coordinate and organize media interviews, and media briefings to create awareness and generate interest in TEDxEindhoven events.
• Manage media inquiries and serve as the primary contact for media representatives, providing timely responses and coordinating interviews or additional information as needed.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in public relations, preferably with a focus on non-profit events or organizations.
• Strong network and connections with Eindhoven media outlets, journalists, and influencers (desired).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling PR materials and effectively communicate TEDxEindhoven’s mission and values (both in English and Dutch).
• Passion for TEDxEindhoven’s mission and a strong desire to contribute to its success.
